Gear Roundup: Packs & Straps from Mission Workshop & Muc-Off, plus eco-friendly reflective packs

Tips & Reviews

This week, we take a look at the latest everyday carry solutions. Whether you’re preparing for your first overnight bikepacking mission, a weekend of slaying the local enduro trails, or a winter of cycle commuting, there’s something here for every cyclist. Here’s the latest and greatest from Mission Workshop, Muc-Off and Po Campo, plus a bonus Black Friday deal from Quadlock.

Mission Workshop Toro Handlebar Bag

Mission Workshop has released a made-in-the-USA burrito-style handlebar bag, the Toro, named after the brand’s favorite Burrito shop in San Francisco. Compatible with drop bars and flat bars alike, the Toro brings a weatherproof construction to a bar bag they claim is super stable with zero bounce to be observed. A universal attachment is said to ensure a perfect fit with all bars and stem sizes.

The Mission Workshop Toro is closed via YKK Aquaguard Zippers. Internally, the bag lacks compartmentalization but there is a key clip. Externally, you’ll find a Hypalon accessory lash point.

The Toro is available now in 6 colorways, retailing at $89 USD.

Muc-Off has expanded their array of on-bike storage solutions with a Utility Frame Strap and Waterproof Cargo Bag combo. The pair work as a team to carry your trail-side repair essentials (tire levers, tube, CO2 and inflator head) securely on the frame.

They are sold separately but, as we’re heading into the sloppy winter months, you might want to consider the whole package to keep the mud away from your tools. The Bundle retails at £24.99 and is available direct from Muc-Off now, as well via their network of dealers.

Po Campo City Lights Collection feat. World’s First Reflective Hemp

Po Campo’s new City Lights Collection of commuter packs features what they claim is the World’s first reflective hemp. The new material is an eco-friendly alternative to other reflective materials that are often made so by the use of polymeric films.

VisiHemp is made from a blend of 55% organic hemp and 45% recycled polyester with reflective fibers woven throughout. Po Campo say it is both strong and soft to the touch, making it perfect for their urban commuter packs.
